Ellie Jane Goulding is a British born on 30 December 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers was her mother. Arthur Goulding belonged to a family of undertakers. Goulding is the child of two and is a sister named Alex and a sister who is older named Isabel and a second sister named Jordan. Alex his brother is a bassist and is a member of an Hereford band. She was encouraged by her mother to pursue a musical education at the age of a small girl. At the age of nine, old, she started learning to play the clarinet. When she was 14 years old She began writing lyrics. However, she didn't get serious about songwriting until college. Goulding started to show an interest in electronics music while studying.
